AROUND THE RANCH
SWIMMING
The swimming pool area is now the main attraction at the Bar S Ranch. Before the swimming pool was built, Lake Wanda was used for swimming and floating in inner tubes, but is now used primarily for fishing and camping for those who prefer to tent camp by the lake. The swimming pool is only 3.5 feet deep, the perfect depth for playing volleyball, floating on a raft, or conversing with friends.
LAKE WANDA
Fishing is a favorite pastime of many guests. The lake is well stocked with a variety of fish. Almost all pan fish are "keepers", but all bass under 14 inches must be thrown back. You are allowed to use artificial bait and most live bait with the exception of minnows. The seven acre lake is over 30 feet deep and visitors to the lake may also see large turtles, geese, grass carp, egrets, and herons. Pedal boats, canoes, and life jackets are available for those who wish to use the lake for more adventurous endeavors. Motorboats are not allowed.
CAMPING
The Woods is our area for RV camping. Electric and water hookups are available for all sizes of RV's. Reservations are required for the RV sites. The Bath House is located in The Meadow, and is for the use of campers and cabin owners. There are also bathroom and shower facilities located in the clubhouse area.
Tent campers usually camp near the lake, or close to the clubhouses. The kitchen is for use of campers, visitors, and members.
THE TRAILS
The Bar S Ranch has miles and miles of trails for those who wish to walk, hike, or bike. Electric golf carts are used for day and night time rides.
