We Never Get Too Old

Who says we get to old to celebrate birthdays? No one at the Ranch, that's for sure. It seems that every weekend some member is surprised with a cake to commemorate the passing of another year. Ranch family members do a great job of keeping up with birthdays and what better excuse for a party than a birthday celebration. While many members would rather forget the number associated with their age, most have found that it is easier just to make a joke of it. Some will say, I'm 29 again or I am 21.....times 2.
On Saturday, Susan(David) was surprised by a birthday dinner in the clubhouse. Marty and Suzie bought a cake and fed the crowd hamburgers and hotdogs prepared by Craig and Mike(Sandy) who manned two grills on the back deck. Other members added their dishes to the table and donations were given to help defray costs. Everyone wants to be a part of the party atmosphere and does their part to insure that the honoree feels special.
After dinner, The Blender Beauties headed to the Tiki Bar and blenders began to blend the beverages. David contributed a small refrigerator and some lights to make the bar even more festive. Jan bought a new blender and who knows how elaborate this annex to the pool area will become? Once again, everyone wants to contribute to the festive atmosphere at the Ranch and are contributing decorations, essentials, time, and money so that everyone will continue to have a great time.
We are never too old to celebrate a birthday, laugh a little, (or a lot), sing and dance, tell a joke or two, or energize ourselves by completing a project that is for the benefit of everyone. Many thanks to everyone who keeps the party atmosphere alive at the Ranch.
