Super Saturdays At The Ranch
Super Saturday got off to a great start as members awoke to the smell of country ham, sausage gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, eggs and pancakes. Our hosts for the event were David and Susan, Mike and Suzie and Craig and Marty. Although we had to rename the kitchen a camp site so Craig would cook, he claims he doesn't know his way around a kitchen, food poured from the kitchen like the sun from the sky.
Singers, comedians, dancers, and just plain old hungry people filled the clubhouse to partake of the breakfast prepared by our hosts. The amount of food purchased and prepared by them proved to be enough to last for the next two mornings and was greatly appreciated by all.
Super Saturday afternoon by the pool provided water aerobics, led by Steve, door prizes to lucky winners, and a volleyball tournament where winners received hats and visors embroidered with Bar -S Volleyball.
The "Blender Beauties" were once again at work and some of the participants in the Golf Cart Rodeo made a minute long course into a five minute one. Many believe it was due to a course change this year, but in actuality, some people don't give directions or understand directions very well. As blindfolded drivers listened to verbal instructions, which did not include running over the woodpile, horseshoe stakes, or spectators, their partners held on for dear life and the crowd roared with sidesplitting laughter. Oh yes, Saturday was Super but was not over.
Phil and Michelle supplied the hot dogs for our Holiday Meal, and Mike(Sandy) used his grill to cook the dogs for the Ranch family. Chili, Slaw, and all the fixings for an all American Dog were available, and once again the tables were filled with potato salad, baked beans, pasta salads and other sides to complete the meal. Cobbler, a theme cake, and a $68.00 birthday cake graced the dessert table and no one left hungry.
Super Saturday,,what is next..more of the same..karaoke..poker games, golf cart rides..a chill in the air..hot tub..conversations lasting until almost 4 am..and Sensational Sunday is almost upon us....
