Pirate Theme Announced for Bar-S Bash

Labor Day weekend usually provides the last big hurrah for many of the members at the Bar-S Ranch. This year, Meadowfest and Woodsfest will be combined and the inaugural Bar-S Bash will be held during Labor Day weekend. All members and guests are invited to attend and participate in events and activities designed to entertain everyone.
On Friday night, A Full Moon Wine and Cheese party will be held by Lake Wanda and the presentation ceremony of the Gnome will be held. A special surprise is in the works for this event.
Saturday is a day filled with activities that begin with Jumper Kenn and his crew, jumping into the Ranch from airplanes. They will jump into the Ranch around 12:00, weather permitting. At 1:00, lunch will be served and donations will be accepted to cover the cost of meat. Members are asked to bring a dish to share. At 3:00, we will have a golf cart rodeo, an event that has participants and spectators laughing out loud. The holiday meal, consisting of chicken and pork, will begin at 6:00 on Saturday. Again donations will help cover the cost of meat and members will bring sides to feed the multitudes. After dinner, a horse shoe tournament will be held for those interested in working off a few pounds. For those not too weary, a golf cart ride through the trails will provide the culmination of a fun filled day.
Sunday's events include a pirate water volleyball tournament, leftovers for lunch/dinner and relaxing by the pool. Details are being finalized for the weekend and hopefully all will be enticed to join us as we "Pirate" our way into our last big holiday weekend.
