Staying Overnight at Bar ~S~ Ranch
Many of our members and applicants travel from several hours away to visit the Ranch and even those who live near by find it convenient to stay overnight. Members who have cabins, like to come on Friday evenings and stay the whole weekend. At other times they will make a vacation of it and stay for a week or so. For those who do not have a cabin, there are other accommodations available such as:
RV Camping
The Ranch has twelve RV sites available. These sites will accommodate any size RV from a popup trailer to a Class A motor home. The sites offer a variety of electrical hookups from 20 amps to 50 amps (be sure to ask for the right size hookup when you reserve your site) and water at each site, There is a dump station on the grounds for the use of our overnighters. The RV sites are on a shady rise overlooking the golf course and away from noisy activity areas. In fact they are far enough away you may want to consider renting a golf cart.
Tent Camping
For the economy minded or those who just like to rough it, the Ranch has almost unlimited space for tent camping. Most tent campers chose to set up on the lawn down by the lake due to its convenience to the toilet facilities at the club house. For those who are willing to forego having a toilet nearby, tents may be set up at many places around the grounds. Just let the office know where you would like to go.
Rental Units
At the present time, there are three overnight rental units. Two of them are single bedroom units near the club house. These two units do not have toilet facilities so the occupants must use the facilities at the club house. The units are furnished with a double bed, table w/ chairs, a small refrigerator, ceiling fans and air conditioning/heat. The third unit is a cottage located down by the lake. It has a deck, living/dining/kitchen area, a separate bed room and a full bath. This unit is furnished with a double bed, air conditioning/heat, a sofa bed and chairs, a full size refrigerator, stove, dishes and cooking utensils. None of the units have linens furnished, so overnighters must bring their own sheets and towels. The users of the rental units are also responsible for cleaning the unit before they depart or they incur an additional charge for cleaning.
Staying with Cabin Owners
As friendships develop, from time to time, the owners of our private cabins will invite folks to stay over with them. This is great and we encourage this. It should be noted though, that there is a charge to stay overnight as a guest in a private cabin. There is a rate for staying over when the owners are with you and a higher rate if the owner allows you the use of the cabin when they are not here. Check with the office for the current rates.
