Ranch Closed to Non-Members
As the Ranch comes to the end of its nineteenth summer season it is time for the office to close once again. Over the years, the office at the Ranch has closed each fall and reopened each spring. Our maintaining regular office hours, apparently has given many people the idea that we are a public facility when the fact is we are a private club. For several years now, there has been a sign on the counter at the office that states our membership requirements and year after year there are people that continue to ignore these requirements.
There are people who have “visited” so many times that their folders are an inch thick. These people a perfectly happy letting the members pay for the upkeep of the place while they enjoy the facilities at their convenience. These people are in essence free loading on the good will of the members and the management has been letting them.
To alleviate this problem, the Ranch will no longer maintain regular office hours (winter or summer) and people who have visited the Ranch in the past but are not current members will not be admitted to the grounds. Those who fall in this group and wish to acquire a membership may email <office@bar-s-ranch.com> or phone 336-349-2456 with a message to set an appointment to join.
To accommodate those who do not get to come to the Ranch often, the Ranch will make its “Supporting Membership” available. This membership is $100/year plus the $100 initiation fee with day fees of $32/day. The other memberships available are: “Basic Membership” at $250/year plus the $100 initiation fee with day fees of $20/day.“Full Membership” at $600/year plus the $100 initiation fee with day fees of $0/day. With any of these memberships, one may visit the Ranch using the provided “key card” 365 days a year between daylight and 10 PM and have the appropriate fees billed to them at the end of the month. One may also stay overnight and be billed those fees at the end of the month.
For those who have not been to the Bar ~S~ Ranch and are interested in membership, an email or phone call as listed above may be used to schedule a day visit. (You may also visit during the normal office hours posted on the home page .) You will be charged $50 per family, couple or single for the visit which will be applied to the membership of your choice if you join within 30 days. First time visitors must present a picture ID, a valid Visa, MasterCard or Discovery Card and fill out a membership application.
